Due to a massive increase in business over the last six months, Aura Print have expanded our workforce to cope with the increased workload. Our three areas are Admin, Design & Production, and new staff were required in all of these departments.
Admin is one of the most important areas in our company. If a job is accurate and correctly booked-in from the very start, with all of the information and artwork in place, the proceeding departments job is made that much easier. Less mistakes are made, and jobs progress smoothly and quickly. The first addition to the admin team was Joe, followed closely by Steve:
Name: Joe Haigh
Position: Administration
Age: 21
Joe is an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and a polite and courteous telephone manner. When the phone rings at Aura (as it does – A LOT!) Joe is usually the person to answer it. He quickly and efficiently deals with customer orders and enquiries, and is quick to solve problems where they may arise.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys reggae & dub music, and plays the drums.
Name: Steve Lawrance
Position: Administration
Age: 26
Steve is a methodical and accurate administrator who deals with the booking in of website and eBay orders. This involves assembling the job packet printout, the payment documents and any relevant emails, along with any supplied artwork or artwork instructions. These are then passed onto the design/pre-press team who make the files that are used to print from. Steve is also responsible for the dispatch – making all the Parcelforce address labels and dealing with any delivery queries or address changes that may arise.
In his spare time, Steve is a busy family man, with the odd hour spent on his favourite games console.
Name: Dion Ellis
Position: Design & PrePress
Age: 28
Dion studied graphic design at Calderdale College and worked as an in-house designer for a homeware manufacturer before joining the design team here at Aura this year. Dion is a versatile and innovative designer who is equally adept at designing quality document from scratch as he is at sorting out problematic files to make them ready for print. Dion is also excellent at interpreting a customers’ design proofs which is very important to ensure speedy and accurate designs that the customer will approve.
In his spare time Dion enjoys movies, music and reading books.
